1What species of wood does Outta Kontrol Customs use?
Many varieties of wood are available. However, we primarily use oak, walnut, mahogany and cherry.
2What design options are available?
Design possibilities are virtually endless with Outta Kontrol Customs. Your personal style, the logos you choose, and even the colors all play a part in the design.
3How do you finish the surface of the projects?
Our projects are available in two finish options to suit individual tastes: a semi-gloss polyurethane finish or a high-gloss epoxy resin top coat.
4How long does it take to build an Outta Kontrol Customs project?
Depending of course on the size and difficulty of the project, you can expect to have your project completed within 3 to 6 weeks. Campaign cover presses take a minimum of 3 weeks.
5What if I don’t know what I want?
Don’t worry. We will take time to speak with you one-on-one to discuss your needs, likes, and dislikes. You may be surprised to find out that you do know exactly what you want—you just need a little help getting there. In the meantime, visit our image gallery or design pages to get those creative juices flowing.
6Can I design my project online??
You better believe it. We have the world’s first and only interactive hat press Design Lab. You can also design footlockers, plaques and shadowboxes. Visit our Design Lab here to get started.
7Do you offer shipping services?
Yes. We use the United States Postal Service as well as UPS to ship our products. Orders outside of a 200 mile radius of St. Augustine, FL are usually shipped. Delivery can be arranged for orders in the Northeast Florida and Southern South Carolina area. Please note that you will be responsible for the packing and shipping fee. That amount will vary depending on the size and weight of your project.
8Can I pay for my estimate online?
You can definitely pay for your estimate online. If you would like to change your estimate into an order, you will receive an invoice via email which will allow you to pay using a bank account or any major credit card or debit card.
9What if I don't like my item?
We will keep you posted throughout every step of your custom wood item. Here are the steps we take to guarantee your satisfaction: You specify what type of wood item you'd like to purchase. We will contact you within 24 hours to discuss the details of your order. We will send you a mock-up of the item. Upon approval of the layout, we will begin work. Your project will be a replica of the mock-up that you approve. We are always open for questions about project progress. We will contact you within 24 hours to discuss the details of your order. 10How does it all work? What’s your process?
Ordering with Outta Kontrol Custom is so simple it’s insane: You specify what type of item you want to purchase and tell us what wood you want us to use. You select the logos, fabric color and other elements. A courteous sales representative will contact you to confirm your request and better understand your personal style. You choose the font you like best. Upon approval of the layout, we will begin work on your custom design and layout. You approve your layout The project goes into production and shipped to you within 3 to 6 weeks.
11Can I get a catalog?
Yes! Right now you can see our easy to use Online Catalog . We create a large variety of products, from cover presses, footlockers and shadowboxes, to tissue box holders and clipboards. We’re sure you will find almost anything you need.
12Can I see my layout before it is built?
Outta Kontrol Customs offers email approval. This allows you to view your artwork before the product is actually built. Shortly after you submit your design request, our creative department goes to work for you. Once a layout is complete, your sales representative will send your initial design to you for changes or approval via email.
13How/When do I pay?
Outta Kontrol Customs requires 100% down before your order is placed. We do not however build ANYTHING without your approval, so you get to check over everything before it is processed.
14How much does a project cost?

15How do I order?
You can order multiple ways! You can send us an email using our Contact Form, you can email us directly at [email protected], you can call us at 877.290.4492 between the hours of 8am-6pm EST Monday-Friday or your can design your project using our interactive Design Lab. These are just a few of the ways Outta Kontrol Customs makes ordering so effortless it’s insane!
16I need my item sooner?
No problem, rush services are available. We will do whatever it takes to ensure timely delivery of your projects. There is a $50.00 rush delivery fee and express shipping rates will apply.
17How do I get a quote?
Have an idea for a custom project? Contact us and we will send you a quote promptly to your email.
18Does Outta Kontrol Customs charge to do custom designs?
All of our projects are unique, just like you. We do not charge for the initial design and for the first round of revisions. All subsequent changes are subject to a $35.00 design fee.
19How do I upload my art?
You can upload your artwork by clicking here.
20What happens when I upload my art?
When you upload your art, it is sent to us to view! We take a look at it and email you back within 24 hours with questions or comments. If you have questions, you can include those in the comments section before uploading your artwork.
21What types of files do you accept?
We have a wide range of file types we can use. You can send us JPGs, PNGs and PDFs via our Contact Page, bitmaps, Word and PowerPoint files, and even hand drawn sketches or photographs we like to receive via direct email to [email protected]. Please make sure all files are large resolution or DPI files (300dpi).
22Do you have contract pricing?
Yes! Give us a call and a friendly sales representative will go over the details.
23Do you have a referral program or are there any discounts offered?
A referral program? Absolutely! Clients who refer friends receive a $10 credit certificate to be used on your future orders or if they prefer, $5 cash. More specials and discount promotions can be found here!
24Misprints and Late Deliveries
if the item you received is materially flawed, we will try our hardest to find an acceptable resolution. For your claim to be considered, just be sure to file within 24 hours after receipt of your goods. Visit our Facebook page to see what our customers had to say about our service. As all of our items are custom built, returns are not accepted. All sales final.

27What if I have a problem with my order?
If there is a problem with your order, contact us within 24 hours of receipt of your project. Please call Outta Kontrol Customs at 877.290.4492 if you have a question or are dissatisfied with your order for any reason. We’re available 5 days a week 8am-6pm ET Monday-Friday. Every situation is different, but generally, if there is something wrong with your order or if it arrives later than promised, we’ll work to correct and/or replace your order (if you let us know within 24 hours of receiving your order).
28Keeping your order on schedule
At Outta Kontrol Customs, while delivery dates are not guaranteed, here are a few important things you can do to help your item arrive as fast as possible. Please respond promptly to calls or emails from us. Our artists will carefully review your design for typos and any art issues. Before we start your order, we will contact you. Changes to your order are possible but may change the schedule. We want your order to be perfect. If you need a few extras or would like an adjustment to your design after you place your order, give us a call and we'll work with you to get it right.
